Module Introduction: Advanced Security

Module Objective

The objective of the “Advanced Security” module is to enable you to create advanced security profiles and customized access for all your company's users.

This practical module gives you complete control and autonomy over the creation, management and allocation of your security profiles. Additionally, thanks to a management screen, you'll be able to make batch allocations or reassign profiles according to your needs.

This module is available in “basic” and “advanced” versions. If you have access to the “basic” version, certain actions or configurations will not be available.

Roles and Security Profiles

In Cangaroo HR, there are four roles, each with specific access rights. An employee can be associated with multiple roles simultaneously.

Employee: This role applies to all users, except service users.
Manager: This role is automatically assigned when the user is the manager of at least one employee. It provides access to functions reserved for managers. .
HR Team Member: Access to this role is granted by the portal administrator. It provides access to functionalities reserved for HR team members.
Administrator: This role is automatically assigned to the contract signatory. It can also be granted manually by another administrator. This role provides full access to all application functionalities.

Security profiles allow you to adjust an employee's access in accordance with the permissions available for their role.

If you do not have the “Advanced Security” module, employee access can only be modified by changing their role. Click here to view default access rights.

Module Security

For security reasons, only a user with the administrator role can assign a security profile to an employee, other than the default profile or one matching their own. This prevents employees from assigning a profile that provides greater access than their own.

Employees cannot modify their own security profile or assign themselves another one.

Advanced Module Availability

This module is available in a "basic" version with certain limited functionalities.
This module is also available in an "advanced" version.

Create an unlimited number of security profiles. Restrict access to a company, division or department to employees with the "HR Team Member" role. Restrict access to a service user (SVD). Define a default profile.	Grant reserved access to a role to an employee who does not have that role. Create new roles. Apply more than one security profile to an employee. Modify the "Default (no configuration required)" profile.
