CANGAROO HR 2.13.0



New: Chat with a Product Expert


We are excited to announce that the Support team is evolving into the Product Expert Team! Composed of specialists in Cangaroo HR and Cangaroo Chrono, this team is available to answer all user questions, whether they are employees, HR members, managers, or service users.


Hours and Availability:


You can chat with an expert Monday to Thursday, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and on Fridays from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Outside these hours, you can initiate a chat session, and your product expert will respond on the next business day.

New: Microsoft Teams Interface 

(North America Only)


You can now publish email notifications directly to the Teams channel of your choice. 


Instead of email notifications, they are instantly published in the selected Teams channel for centralized team communication. 


Use this feature to streamline your information sharing. 


Important Notice: You must be the owner of the team and channel in Microsoft Teams to configure this feature. 


Client Suggestion

New: Enhanced Security Measures



Suggest a reason:


You can now specify a reason when unlocking (requesting access to) an employee file. Although this indication is optional, it is strongly recommended to specify the reason for unlocking in order to facilitate future follow-up with employees.


Manager:


You can now block managers from requesting access to an employee file. To activate this option, go to your settings.



Client Suggestion

Enable Display of Employee Birthdays


A checkbox can now be added to the employee's record stating: 'I authorize the display of my birthday (day and month) in the company calendar for my manager, delegated manager, and colleagues. 


If this box is not checked, the employee's birthday will not be visible on the dashboard or in the company calendar for managers and employees.


This setting has no impact if you don't display birthdays to managers or employees on the dashboard or in the company calendar.


It is possible to add this field to your “form” actions in an arrival process, or on request. The display for HR members (if the functionality to display this information is activated) always remains present, despite the absence of consent.


Important note: This update facilitates access to documents for authorized managers.


New: Lära Interface


We are excited to announce the availability of a new bidirectional interface between Cangaroo HR and Lära, Learning Management Application. This integration offers several significant advantages for your human resources management and employee training:


Automatic user synchronization: Lära user creations and deactivations are now automatically aligned with the status of your employees in Cangaroo HR.


Training and Certification Synchronization: Training and certifications obtained in Lära are synchronized with Cangaroo HR, ensuring centralized, up-to-date management of your employees' skills.


Single Sign-On (SSO): Your employees can access Lära directly from Cangaroo HR without having to enter new credentials, simplifying their user experience.


Important note: To activate this feature, please contact the Product Expert team. 


New: Time Bank


Previously, a time bank's total amount was automatically allocated at assignment and on each reference date. 


You can now configure this balance to increase automatically, dividing it monthly, bi-weekly, or weekly. 


As such, the bank will gradually increase, depending on your configuration, to reach the maximum amount at the last increment.



Enhancements to the "Expense Report" Module


1. Managers can now view an old expense report submitted by their employees, including attachments.


2. You can now make a comment mandatory depending on the customer selected in the expense account.


3. A new “Verified” column is available for the manager and delegated manager, to confirm that the expense submitted by an employee has been validated and can be approved.


4. The maximum amount defined for an expense is now taken into account in the reimbursable total.



Additional Features and Minor Fixes

  • You can now hide inactive employees and non-managers from the org chart.
  • HR team members and managers can view employee documents in the document center.
  • The "Business Cell Phone" field is now editable in bulk.
  • The "Preferred Name" field is available in the PDF file editor.
  • The "Reduced Rate Eligibility" field is added to custom views.
  • The "Division" and "Company" filters are now available in the batch process launch screen.
  • The sender's name for a performance evaluation form is now visible in the evaluation management screen.
  • Added institution "632" to the available options in banking information.
  • Fixed an issue preventing the "Certification" grid from displaying in the advanced position module when the CCQ module was not activated.
  • Performance evaluations completed through the module of the same name are now visible in the employee’s file under the "Performance Evaluation" tab.
